DICHROIC GLASS PENDANTS

The beauty of dichroic glass is evident in the variety of colors and the ever changing color patterns brought on by changing light situations. Basically, it's a special metal oxide coating placed onto the glass in a vacuum chamber. The type of oxide and the duration of exposure dictates the final color. The glass is then cut and shaped, fused together, ground to shape, and fired as many as three times to achieve the final product. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind as it is very hard to duplicate a design. Dichroic glass is also difficult to photograph because the colors look different from different angles. Every effort has been made to show the very best picture of each piece.

Each pendant has a 3mm horizontal hole near the top for stringing on a cord or chain. The size of each pendant can be determined by the ruler shown in the picture. The earwires and posts are Sterling Silver.
